Cary Christmas Parade Planning

For our December Pack meeting, we always have a morning meeting from 11 tonoon, then lunch, and then go participate in the Cary Christmas parade. In terms of where we line up, we are considered part of the "Walkers" rather than "Floats" or "Bands". Everyone parks at FUMC and walks to the start. Parents are welcome to join, or send their son with their den leaders, however all Scouts must check-out with their den leader before existing the parade route or even leaving with their parents at the end.

The Pack Chairman and Cubmaster coordinate calling in to the Cary Jaycees in early October so as to secure our position in the parade line-up. We have found that being the first to sign-up does not guarantee that first position in the line-up. :-( They open it up on their website (caryjaycees.org/) without much prior warning.
