Summer Schedule
Posted in: Featured by Cubmaster on July 7, 2009 | No Comments
Although the Pack suspends its weekly meetings during the summer months, we still have several activities planned to keep everyone excited and involved in scouting! The events planned for this summer are:
- June: Durham Bulls Scout Night, Bike Rodeo
- July: Rocket Day
- August: “Beach” volleyball, Water Play Day
In addition to these Pack events, our district and council offer several camping opportunities like the Cub/Adult Overnighter, Scout resident camp, and summer day camp. Information about these events can be found at the Occoneechee Council website
Scouts attending at least one event each month will earn a National Summertime Pin to wear on their uniform. These will be presented to them in the fall.

May Pack Meeting & Picnic
Posted in: Featured by Cubmaster on May 5, 2009 | No Comments
In celebration of our final meeting of the 2008-2009 Scouting “year”, Pack 200 families are invited to join us at the Bond Park Kiwanis Shelter on May 26 for a cookout and Pack meeting.
For the cookout, the Pack will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, condiments, napkins, plates, and utensils. We ask that the Dens provide the following items to share with the rest of the Pack:
- Tigers and Bears: Desserts
- Wolves: Side dish
- Webelos: Drinks (2 liter sodas, juice boxes, water, tea, etc.)
We plan to start serving food at 5:00, so don’t be late!
At approximately 6:00, we will begin cleaning up and move over to the amphitheater for the Pack meeting (weather permitting.) During this Pack meeting, the scouts will “rank up” to their next rank. Parents are advised to bring the hat, neckerchief, and neckerchief slide for their son’s next rank. (Dens 1 and 2 parents: your scouts are not affected by this as they are already wearing the colors of their rank.)
Any parents that would like to volunteer at the grill are asked to arrive no later than 4pm to help get things going.
Should you have any questions, feel free to contact your den leaders or email info@pack200.org
